VDMA - Chronological Bible Reading
Join with your brothers and sisters as we read through the Bible in one year. We will be following a detailed chronological reading plan.
If you have an Apple or Android device, use the app store to search for YouVersion. Once you are signed up for a free account, please contact Pastor Sam to be invited to the reading group. Throughout the year, please feel free to interact with us through the app if you have questions about what you are reading. We will also have periodical times of fellowship to discuss God's Word. |
What does "VDMA" mean?
VDMA is an acronym for the Latin slogan "Verbum Domini Manet in Aeternum" which means, "the Word of the Lord remains forever," from Isaiah 40:8 and 1 Peter 1:24-25. This slogan was used throughout the Lutheran Reformation because the unchanging faithfulness of God to His Word is the very heart of the Gospel.
God's Word remains true in spite of anything we would do to change it. God's Word is living and active. From God's Word, believers are given God's strength to live a life of freedom by the power of grace we receive through that same Word.
